International Day of Street Children is marked every year on April 12. It is a day to remember children who live or work on the streets and to understand the difficult lives they face. Many of these children do not have enough food, a safe place to sleep, or a chance to go to school. Instead of enjoying their childhood, they often struggle just to survive.

Street children have different stories. Some have no families and live entirely on the streets, while others work during the day and go back home at night.
