- Speech difficulty: Ask the person to repeat a simple sentence. Are their words slurred or difficult to understand?

- Time to call emergency services: If you observe any of these signs, call for help immediately.

Prevention is Key

Make healthy lifestyle choices to reduce your risk of stroke:

- Manage blood pressure and diabetes

- Exercise regularly

- Eat a balanced diet

- Quit smoking

- Limit alcohol consumption
